Cartica is an island nation in the hidden ocean. It was founded by Princess Gonya, the daughter of King Netzer-Alisa, after she was banished to the island by her brother Norian shortly after their father’s death.

Cartica’s climate is relatively dry. Rain falls only in the winter months, mostly in the mountainous region of the island. There are also frequent drought years; despite the difficulties, the islanders have no shortage of food. The island’s agriculture has thrived throughout its history.

Over the years, various testimonies have been collected about the people of Cartica, all of which praise them for their diligence and intelligence. Ademon writes about them as having great technological knowledge.

The island’s population is quite diverse. In addition to Sapiens, other humanoids also live there, such as the Kadmons (Neanderthals), the Mancofs, and the Meagmies.
