The Mancofs are working apes. They serve as cheap labor, performing menial jobs that humans find difficult or unwilling to do. Many of them work in maintenance and cleaning. They usually live in crowded neighborhoods called Tsukan.
In Dovira (the Machine City), they are very essential. Without their work, the city would grind to a halt and consequently cease to exist.
