The will of King Netzer-Alisa

My good sons, I have called you here, to my bed, for I am sick and my days are few. Listen carefully to my words, for this is my will. If you keep it, your kingdom will prosper. There will be peace within its borders and no invaders will come upon it. Rain will fall on your lands frequently, your trees will be laden with fruit, and your barns will be full of grain. There will be abundance and joy for everyone.

You, Becornezer my eldest son, will be the king. You are wise and compassionate and understand people’s hearts.

Norian, you will be the Minister of the Guard, for you are brave and prudent. I entrust great power into your hands, Norian, do not misuse it.

My young daughter, Gonia, you will be the Minister of Finance. You are clever and responsible and know the theory of numbers. I am convinced that you will manage the treasury of the kingdom with responsibility and discretion.

Rule the kingdom wisely and generously. Be good and kind .Do not fight each other, for you are brothers.

Do not break the oath of Oclipa. Everything you need is here: countless fruit trees, herds of cattle on every hill and valley, vast fields of wheat. Conserve the island and cultivate it, and you will have no scarcity. Do not leave it on expeditions of conquest, plunder, or hunting, for if you do, a curse will fall upon you.

Take care of your people. Do not oppress them, do not humiliate them, and do not turn them into slaves. Provide for all their needs. Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and give shelter to the homeless. Love them with all your heart and with all your soul, for you are their father and mother. If you abandon them to hunger and poverty, they will rise up against you and oust you from your throne.

Carry out my will and your kingdom will prosper and flourish, and if you do not, the Titans will punish you. Their punishment will be unbearable.
