The Yamilis

The Yamilis are the people of the Duhar desert. They have no cities or villages; they are nomads. They keep livestock to supply their subsistence needs. Sheep, goats, and cattle provide them with milk and meat. The Yambu bird is used by them to carry loads, as is the Zamovil. Dogs help them in walking the cattle and sheep and in guarding against predators. The blue crows also help. They fly overhead and warn of impending danger. They are particularly useful against birds of prey such as the hawk, the eagle, the snake bird, and the cudrus. The crows also serve as messengers to pass messages between distant nomadic families.

The Yamilis are not Sapiens, they are Kadmons (Neanderthals) who arrived in Duhar tens of thousands of years ago.
